10.00 am – 4.00 pm English bilingual guided tours alternately by cepezed architects and Züblin starting continuous: The former Shell offices at the Oostduinlaan 75 in The Hague date from 1968 and were designed by H.E. Oud, the son of architect J.J.P. Oud. Planned by cepezed architects the building is undergoing a transformation by Züblin into an apartment complex with 300 high-end homes, of various types and sizes. The ensemble originally consists of a sizeable high-rise volume with a lower perpendicular and adjacent building block which is demolished in favour of a new block on the existing foundations. All within a renewed urban setting with special attention for the qualities and experience of the public space and surrounding park Oostduin-Arendsdorp. Apart from the longitudinal facades, the high rise remains virtually entirely unchanged. From the point of view of both sustainability and efficiency, the existing design and fine-grained construction structure have been the design starting point. This led to easily implementable apartments with a notable and flexible typology.

The grounds will also undergo a meticulous upgrade. As a replacement for the current outdoor parking garage, which has an unattractive appearance, a covered parking layer will be realized with landscaped greenery above, to create a strong feeling of ‘living in the park’.

Project Park Hoog Oostduin will participate in the programs of Architecture Day as well as the Construction Day.
